International Dot Day!

Yesterday was International Dot Day! Since I have the book fair I wasn't able to participate as much as I wanted but Mrs. Watford took the idea and RAN with it. In her classes, she has read "The Dot" to all of the students. She took the idea of encouragement and making your own mark to another level. Yesterday we celebrated Dot Day in many ways but Mrs. Watford came up with the idea of giving out dots to people who are showing encouragement to others, being thoughtful, and showing good manners.. Teachers got "Dotty." Kids got Dotty. I was Dotty the Pirate! It's was a fun day!

We've had a pretty steady flow of customers this week! Thanks to all of the parents and grandparents who have attended so far. Thank you for your patience during the big rush times. Everyone has been very kind and understanding.

I've had some wonderful volunteers for this fair! Usually I get a stack of papers for volunteers and most of them never show up! This year, it has been FANTASTIC! I have been able to let people run the fair while I've gotten a LOT of stuff done and don't have to stay here until 10 p.m. every night of the fair! You guys have been awesome!
