Yes, Jo presented TWICE at GaETC. Both presentations were fabulous as expected!

HP Reveal (formerly Aurasma)
     - you must follow the channel of  the person who created an AR activity.
     - Jo's  ar JNase1's Public Areas and MES Media Center

Chromeville - has 3 apps
     Science
Barcy - eco friendly - save the Earth - g00d for Earth Da

Chromeville - also has sheets. You can add a kid's picture to the sheet and the app will pick it up and add it to the AR

Quiver - download sheets - color and then activate with App. Jo read a fiction and nonfiction book about Penguins then gave them the Quiver coloring sheet. Kids LOVED it!

Crayola  - has AR coloring books - app is free but you have to buy the coloring books.

AR Flashcards -
     Alphabet
     Dinosaur

AR Flashcards Space Free - planets

SpaceCraft 3D
Guinness Book of World Records - 2013, 2014, and 2015 have triggers throughout the book. She marks the pages with AR triggers so that kids can find them more easily.

Look for AR Trigger books on Amazon, book sales, yard sales.. etc.

The Dragon Brothers series
Ernie's Wish Trail
Spiders, etc.

Merge Cube has 30 apps so far. Just about to release 6 apps that are just for education.

You can make your own merge cube with paper.
Be sure to join the Merge Cube Educator's Facebook pages
Merge Cube ideas can be found on TPT.

Create your own AR
     HP Reveal - Aurasma
     Blippar
     Layar

HP Studio - more involved - Jo uses this at the beginning of the year to review sections of the media center. Scan the cover of a book to get the next clue.

Jo is a fabulous media specialist in Coweta County. She shared some of the wonderful MakerSpaces she has used in her media center.
Step 1 in starting a MakerSpace decide on your focus. Jo decided her MS would be more technology based. She suggests you make a wish list. Her first year she asked for and received 5 iPads. She now has 27 iPads.
Code & Go Robot Mouse - great for little kids but older kids like it too, it's not as challenging.
Ozobots - Demco
BB8 - Scholastic Dollars
Merge Cubes
Dash & Dot & Cue - most impressed with Cue. Can purchase Wonder Kit

Funding Maker Spaces
Look for Grants - Dollar General, Donor's Choose
Someone has a school store in the library.
     Indiegogo - crowd funding

Maker's Club - Friday afternoons - limited to 16 students with a waiting list. All day behavior counts. (Certain number of strikes and they are out.) Forget to bring your Chromebook - get a strike, etc.
She started with Unplugged Coding - she got from Teacher's Pay Teachers.
